the location, complex, beach and pool almost make you forget about the poor condition of the unit itself. there is a musty smell in the cabinets and bathroom, and the kitchen and bathroom are just old and dingy. I wanted a mop and a broom so I could clean a little more since we were there 5 nights. we also needed more towels. the ceiling in bedroom above fan needs to be dusted. the living room furniture is very uncomfortable, but the beds are nice. we had everything we needed, except I had to buy beach chairs. there are some pool and beach toys there for kids. I guess if they remodeled, the price would go up but it really was a great value.

the area is perfect if you want to be away from the busy areas of the beach. everyone is so nice at the complex. ubers are readily available if you want to go to town. but I think I'd choose a different unit next time.

Great location on the beach, near many things. Had beach access and parking in front and on the side as well. The condo is definitely on the older side and could use some upgrades, or deep cleaning around the older areas of the condo, however it was still very clean. It was perfect for us for a few days and it was a wonderful price! We enjoyed our stay, and will likely stay again.

It was nice being in New Smyrna Beach. Nothing overly spectacular about this place. Needs some updating, but it worked for us. Strange that we had to put in the combination to unlock the door twice, every time.

Me and my friends had an amazing time staying here. It’s right on the beach and the balcony was a great place to hang out and chit chat. There was some sand and such on the furniture when we arrived but it’s the beach so that’s bound to happen. Overall I was extremely happy with my visit and would love to come back!

All good, a bit dated, but priced great for the area.

Good location. Clean place to stay but has very minimal “staple” items in the condo. For the price per night, there should be more essential items in the condo. Communication could also be better. I sent messages and there was a significant delay in getting a response. Overall good experience though.

Nice location right on the beach. Plenty to do and lots of places to eat close by. Host was very responsive. Perfect for the few days we were there.

Great value. We usually stay closer to Flagler but decided to have a different experience. This condo is right across the street from Sonapa, one of our favorite restaurants and it is a block from Chase’s on the Beach, which just got renovated.
There was plenty of space for the two of us. The beds were the most comfortable beds we have ever had in an air bnb and some hotels! They’re a dense foam that cradles you and you don’t notice any movement from your partner.
Appreciated the ceiling fan and in room AC unit to keep us cool.
Plenty of towels.
Happy they had a drip coffee maker and some basic cooking items so we could make breakfast. Wished for a colander, a big kitchen knife and serving dishes but hey- how many people actually cook on vacation? Not many. So it’s ok. We did fine with what we had. Appreciated the toaster. Ice trays were ready made for our stay. Fridge and freezer with plenty of room.
Hangers provided.
Felt safe. Walked the beach at night. Pool looked nice.

Any time I had a question or needed help, they were super responsive and got me the answers quick! Unbelievable deal for location close to airport, Disney, universal etc. Will definitely want a family reunion here in the future!

They location and accessible to the beach was PERFECT!!!!! We could not have for a better spot when it came to our beach days. The only concern was looking at some of the structure of the building/unit. It is obvious that this is an older building, but the outside appeal could use some attention. Some areas truly look unsafe.
For our stay, we were able to overlook some issues, and I am sure a lot of other families may not.

Awesome location! Pool is right off the rooms and is good for small kids. Noise was not a problem at night, but the mattresses were pretty uncomfortable. Property manager is very responsive and check in is easy. Building shows wear and tear but the unit has everything you need.

My friends and I had an amazing stay at By The Sea. We loved being so close to the beach and to restaurants near by. The only issue we had was the power turned off one night for a few hours and when we got there the fridge wasn’t cold! Just had to turn it up and then it worked. Other than that we had a great stay and would come back again.

The exterior needs updating and hauling gear to and from the condo was not easy but the interior of the condo was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the ocean view off of the deck.

Cute and cozy place. Came to celebrate my husband’s birthday with our 2 young boys. Unfortunately it happened to be chilly, rainy and extremely windy. So we didn’t get to enjoy much of the pool/beach but the proximity to everything was great. The unit was right off the stairs by the pool so there was extra noise, but nothing we aren’t used to with our kids. Could use some updating, but for the money it was comfortable and we felt safe. Thanks for our stay

Literally steps from the beach. The shared areas - pool, lawn, and gas grills - were updated and pristine. This is one of the few units that has an ocean view from the balcony. Although everything was functional, the building itself showed its age - particularly the kitchen area, which has not been updated. Overall, my stay was very enjoyable and I thought the unit was a good value.

Nice location, uncomfortable furniture, kitchen ample. Complex really needs some painting and updating, sliding door broke.

By The Sea’s place was a great experience for us. The host was responsive. The views of the beach from the balcony were great. The unit itself was clean and well equipped for our stay. The location was central and convenient. We will be back for sure.

The view from the balcony is really what we went for and that lived up to the hype. The beds are comfortable and the host was responsive - I got confused by some of the check in instructions and the host answered my call immediately and talked me through it. They also allowed me to check in early to get ready for an event that started close to check in time. I would say the whole unit could use an update and some love but it was a safe space with a great view of the beach!

Great location, nice pool. Beds are very comfortable. It is a basic no frills place. Only complaint - living room furniture is very uncomfortable and hard.

Location location location !! Directly across from the cutest little taco/ ice cream place but also close to all the local restaurants as well. Has a large clean pool and nice grassy area that leads do the ocean. The beach is beautiful as it always is in New Smyrna, also a few steps from the public access beach where there is a play ground.., in case you have little and need to break up your day. The property has two gas grills that can be used and also a laundry room if need be. The condo itself was spacious enough for our 4 person family to fit comfortably. While it definitely had some things that looked worn probably from the sea air, it was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back!
Everyone that seems to be staying there was pleasant as well.
Parking was a little bit of an issue but there is parking across the street that can be used as well which solved the issue.

My mom and brother and sister stayed here the week of my wedding and it was perfect! Lots of space and a kitchen to make breakfast. The kids really enjoyed the pool and the beach.

My two friends and I stayed here for a weekend, and it was such a great time! We loved the little community that Coastal Waters offered, and everyone we passed by - even other guests - were so hospitable. You really cannot beat the location, no matter what room you’re staying in. Such a short walk to the beach, and even the parking was fantastic! We only had two minor complaints which were - no fan in the bathroom, and the pool was a little too warm so it wasn’t as refreshing. But we still got by and were very happy with our stay, and I’ve already told our other friends about this cute little place! Thanks again!

We enjoyed our stay. Their was a rough crowd visiting the place but other than that it was fine. A little bit dated but we still enjoyed our stay.

This is just what i needed for a getaway week. Great location, and a nice unit to stay in. Only downside is sometimes finding a parking spot can be challenging during the day. Besides the point, i would definitely come again.

Great value! Good location close to the end of the driving portion of the beach. Complex was very family friendly and totally quiet after 9-9:30pm. Unit was clean and beds were comfortable. Happy to recommend.

This getaway is quite, great location, and a smaller condo building which I enjoyed. It offered many amenities by the pool and was very clean. I enjoyed my stay very much as being so close to the downtown Flagler area of New Symrna Beach. I was surrounded by lots of great restaurants... too many to choose from. It was a very nice restful place.

Great location right by the beach and with a pool in the complex. The unit was clean and comfortable, offering the basics we needed in a great spot.

Perfect little unit for my trip. The location is amazing and listening to the waves crashing even with the windows closed (that’s how close you are to the beach) is so relaxing. The keyless entry is so nice and convenient. The beds - very comfy and the place was clean. Very old kitchen and appliances but had everything I needed. Would definitely stay again!

Great place!! Bathroom lights kinda strange but everything else was great
